EAU CLAIRE, WI – The Chippewa Valley Disc Golf Organization (CVDGO) will host the sixth stop on the prestigious Wisconsin Disc Golf Tour in Eau Claire County. Discs will soar hundreds of feet following ski trails through the woods across both championship 18 hole disc golf courses at the Tower Ridge Recreation Area. Disc golfers spanning the Midwest will max out the field of 144 competitors over the 2 day event.
Competitors will play 3 rounds during the PDGA sanctioned tournament. Players will be challenged by the tournament layout as each course provides multiple pin and/or tee positions. Each round offers a unique course layout. Epic Disc and Design will host an optional random draw doubles event on Friday evening. Player check-in begins at 5pm Friday, May 13th at the Tower Ridge Ski Chalet and goes until 9am Saturday morning. The first 2 rounds of the tournament will be Saturday, May 14th starting at 9 am. A players meeting will be held before the first round of play and lunch will be offered at the ski chalet between rounds. The final round will start Sunday morning at 9 am with award presentations to follow.
CVDGO will also be hosting a players’ party for tournament players, spectators, volunteers, and the general public at the Eau Claire County Expo Center on Saturday, May 14th following the second round. Party goers will enjoy food, beverages, music, and various activities sponsored by the disc golf club and Visit Eau Claire. Camping is offered at the Expo Center grounds for both nights of the tournament.
